Re opening 4th July

The last weeks have been a challenging time for everyone. We hope you have remained safe and well during this time and the weeks ahead allow us to enjoy doing more. As we look forward, we are starting to think about reopening Cartref to guests in July. We will always follow this advice as the safety and well-being of our guests and the community are at the forefront of all decisions we make.

Staying at Cartref
We are carefully monitoring all guidance from the government and Public Health England to ensure we take all possible steps to maintain a safe environment for everyone.  We have received numerous reviews
that complement the standard of cleanliness at Cartref. We will continue to operate at this excellent
standard.
In addition, we will put in place any additional measures as recommended. Visit Britain are developing a
quality mark to support hospitality businesses understand all the steps they can take to ensure as safe an environment as possible as this time. We will complete this as soon as it is available and continue to
respond to evidence as it emerges.  We have also taken the CPL training course Coronavirus Taking
Proactive Action which I have uploaded our certificate.
The advice regarding laundry is to use high temperatures and detergents. All of our laundry at Cartref is
done in-house and is washed at high temperature, sanitised, dried and ironed with
steam.
In addition to the cleaning that always happens we are disinfecting the surfaces that different guests maytouch, such as door handles and bannisters, several times throughout the day. To assist us with this it will help if guests wash or sanitise their hands when entering Cartref and before leaving their room.
Hand sanitisers will be available in the hall area and dining room and in all bedrooms.

Breakfast at Cartref
The dining room at Cartref is large and the tables are spaced well apart. We will ensure we operate to the spacing requirements. It is unusual for all guests to be in the dining room at the same time, but we
appreciate that we need to manage this carefully.
To achieve this, we may ask guests to select a breakfast time to help with this. If necessary, we will extend breakfast times to manage this. As usual, all drinks and food from the breakfast menu are served to your table so contact is minimised. We do have a buffet table with cereals, fruit and yoghurts. We will ensure all items are served in individual portions to ensure they are only touched by one guest.  We will also offer breakfast room service please ask about this when making a booking or if you have any dietary requirements please let us know.
